New challenges, new skills
According to the digital competence survey my level of digital competence is advanced, which to be honest I was expecting. I would see myself pretty handy with computers and working in the digital environment overall. My studies so far have included a lot of digital design work in terms of advanced surface modeling, parametric design and algorithmic design for example. Of course, there are some areas that I am not so experienced in including blogging. Maybe writing blogposts about my projects would be beneficial so then it would be easier also to speak about my thought process behind the design work.
Another area that I would like to improve in is building websites and coding. I would like to eventually turn my portfolio into a website at some point. I am not sure if it is wise to try building a website from scratch with no experience, but maybe writing this blog during this course is the first step towards that goal!
Hi Lassi! I would be eager to read more about your process with 3D modeling. As a landscape architecture student I'm familiar with a Rhino + Grasshopper workflow but algorithmic design on the other hand is completely new to me. I'm in the same boat regarding coding. A portfolio website sounds like a great idea to me, I think you should go for it!
